American Sign Company is a owned and operated by a family of art and sign professionals. We have been making signs and serving just about everybody in our hometown of Livermore, California. We also proudly serve the Amador Valley, Livermore / Pleasanton / Tracy, Tri Valley, San Francisco Bay Area and beyond – to all of Mid and Northern California.

Working with Your City
It is important to be advised, before beginning the process to install a new sign, to contact your city and find out what kind of signs your area permits (sign ordinance) and how large. Depending upon the city, it can be a confusing and time consuming job. We can do your city paperwork to assure your signs are properly permitted to avoid costly fines that a non permitted sign can incur, as well as the disappointment of having to remove the sign. Remember, only a California Licensed Sign Contractor can pull permits to install signs in the State of California.
Our Process
1. American Sign Installation Co. comes to your sign site for a Site Survey* to determine the scope and estimate the cost of your job. All electrical signs must do this step. Some non electrical may not require a Site Survey.
2. American Sign Installation Co. provides material and cost options, and a written Quote for your approval via email or fax.
3. American Sign Installation Co. then Designs* the sign for your approval, and Submits the approved design for City Design Review*.
4. Upon City approval, American Sign Installation Co. obtains your Sign and Building Permits* (you pay the actual cost – no mark up).
5. Now, your new sign is ready for Manufacture* and Installation*!
*costs are incurred based on time and materials. Signed Contracts and Deposits are required.
